With most caddies, no it is not legal to fill OR to fuel from a container in the bed of your truck, you must unload the container or caddy, fill it or dispense from it, and then reload the caddy for transport.  This makes gas station fuel ups brutal. Ethanol-free fuel in a properly vented aluminum tank holds up for three to six months. E10 can become a problem over longer storage but is generally fine in a properly vented tank in regular rotation. Stabilizer is worth considering for fuel that will sit longer than 30-60 days.

Why sealed lead acid batteries instead of lithium-ion?

Fire safety. Damaged lithium-ion cells catch fire when wet, and in a fuel environment that is a risk not worth taking. SLA batteries do not have that failure mode.  If you need extreme capacity you can contact us about our LiFePO4 option which is sortof a combination of the benefits of both SLA and Li-Ion.  They’re as safe or safer than SLA, slightly smaller, and definitely lighter.  We’re just beginning to offer these as an extended capacity option for commercial users of our motorized fuel caddies.
